Construction Pre-apprenticeship Programs in Aurora and Grayslake/Waukegan

Programs Start in July 2023

We are happy to announce that IWE received two grants from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) Office of Illinois Works, to offer FREE training for Construction Pre-Apprenticeship programs in the Aurora and the Grayslake/Waukegan regions. These 14-week programs will provide pre-apprenticeship skills training and industry recognized certifications, which prepares participants to be ready for careers in the construction industry and building trades, and to enter other industry apprenticeship programs. Program requirements include that candidates be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and have a GED Certificate or a High School Diploma.
